The Lime Green Kitchen

Several days ago I was reading a post by Mrs. B @ www.cherishthehome.blogspot.com about the kitchen being a comforting place that feeds our souls. I let her know about my lime green kitchen and how it is my little ray of sunshine in the morning. So I decide to post a couple of pictures of my colorful kitchen. Everyone thought I was crazy but they all ended up loving it.
When we purchased the house the walls were white with a 2 ft dark green border at the top and the cabinets were all white. To brighted up the cabinets I simply put 2 in wide painter tape around the edge of the cabinet doors and painted the center green to make them appear to have insets. I love how it turned out.
I hope you have enjoyed a look at my lime green kitchen.

Oh Carrie, it looks fabulous! I was thinking that it didn't really look lime green to me but that's because I was thinking of lime green as being more flourescent. Your color looks more like a pistachio to me. But really, if you slice open a lime, this is color of the inside.

Whatever the color, it looks really nice. I like it with the black tile you have. And the puppy faces looking through the gate are so cute too. (o:

I really like the colors! My kitchen is boring! Very small, and the kind of wood cupboards that don't paint well. I have pics on my blog, I think I posted back in January.

I would love to have more turquoise in my kitchen, but fairly sure hubby would not go for that.
